PureSim Baseball is a baseball simulation game for PC where you can act as the manager, general manager, and owner.  Now if you are not into all that financial stuff like me you can just manage on the field.  There are many ways to play this game.  In regards to the visual presentation it is simplistic but gorgeous for any fan of baseball simulations.  In regards to the audio the announcer calling out players names definitely gets more than a few names wrong but it is nothing that keeps me from wanting to play the game as there is so much to like about this baseball simulation.  For instance, one thing to like is that you get the teams from 1900 to 2012 for sure and I know that the 2015 season was added in the latest version. With many other games like this you pay considerable amounts of money to buy each season to play whereas here you get so much free. Also another thing to like about this game is the PSPN feature which creates a very interesting page to read throughout the season as it tracks key stories and stats.  Similar to this when you are managing a game on the field adding more intertainment is the trivia  shown at times.  It is a nice little break from the action.  
 Now while the community isn't really active at all for this game anymore it is still possible to find player photos, logos, stadium photos and more that will work with this game.  Modding is encouraged with this.
 Finally if you feel like you have gotten some enjoyment out of playing this after giving it a decent go there are ways to donate to the creator which I did.  Now will this get us more updates for sure?  No.  It has been said that any new work would likely be put into a new commercial release in the future.  Still with what you get here already for free it is definitely worth playing.  PLAY BALL!
